These terms cover your use of the Bendbook app and this website, provided by SNIT ApS (CVR DK 35875263), Bragesvej 32, 8600 Silkeborg, Denmark ("we", "us").
1. The app is an aid, not the code
You remain responsible for your work. Bendbook's marks and calculations help you do the job. They do not replace your training, the bender maker's instructions, the National Electrical Code® as adopted where you work, or the decision of the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Bends: the marks come from the bender makers' published guides or from exact geometry, for the bender and conduit size you choose. Real conduit, real benders and real hands differ. Check the first bend against your bender and the job before you cut or bend the rest.
- Code calculators: each answer names the NEC® edition and table it used. Adopted editions and local amendments differ from place to place. Check which edition and amendments apply to your job with the AHJ.
- Your inputs: a result is only as good as the numbers you enter, and a custom bender is only as good as the stub you measured.
- Bendbook is not engineering, legal or safety advice, and nothing in it is an inspection or a permit.
2. Trademarks and no affiliation
- NEC®, National Electrical Code® and NFPA 70® are registered trademarks of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Bendbook is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NFPA. Bendbook shows only the values it used and the table that names them, never NFPA's text.
- Greenlee®, Klein®, Ideal® and Gardner Bender® are trademarks of their owners. They are used only to say which bender a setting fits. Bendbook is not affiliated with or endorsed by any bender maker. The head drawings in the app are our own.
3. Free and Pro
- Free: offset, rolling offset, matching offsets, 90° stub-up and Ohm's law, on every bender.
- Pro: every other bend, racks, the multi-bend layout, saved jobs and the other four calculators, unlocked by one payment. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. The price is shown in the app before you buy (US$9.99 on the US App Store).
- Family Sharing: Pro can be shared with your family group where Apple's Family Sharing is on for this purchase.
- Restore: on a new phone, or after reinstalling, use Restore purchase in Settings with the same Apple ID.
- Payment and refunds: Apple takes the payment and handles refunds under its own terms: Apple Support.
4. Privacy
How the app handles data is described in the privacy policy. There is no account, and what you enter and save stays on your device.
5. The app as it is
We work to keep the app and its values correct, but we provide it as it is, without a promise that it is always available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a loss that comes from relying on a result without checking it as set out in section 1.
6. Apple's terms
Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Disputes will be resolved in the Danish courts, without limiting any consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
