Answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, write to us.
My mark is a little different from the number printed on my bender. Which is right?
Bendbook has two modes in Settings, under Numbers. Exact uses exact geometry. As printed uses the rounded figures your bender's guide prints (for example 1.4 at 45°), so the marks match the head in your hand. The two can differ by a fraction of an inch.
Each answer shows its source line, so you can see which one you are looking at.
My bender is not on the list.
Pick Custom bender in the bender picker. Bend one stub, measure it, and Bendbook works out the take-up and radius from your measurement. It covers any hand bender, and electric and hydraulic benders too.
Why does a size say "field method only"?
Where a maker does not publish a take-up for that bender and size, Bendbook does not guess. Use the custom bender so the figures come from your own stub.
What is free and what is Pro?
Free on every bender: offset, rolling offset, matching offsets, 90° stub-up and Ohm's law. Everything else is Pro: the other bends, racks, the multi-bend layout and saved jobs, and the other four calculators. Pro is one payment. It is not a subscription.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings, then Restore purchase. Use the same Apple ID you bought with. If it does not come back, write to us.
Does Family Sharing work?
Yes. If you turn on Family Sharing for purchases in your Apple account, your family group can use Pro without paying again.
Which NEC edition does it use?
NEC® 2023 by default, because more states have adopted it than any other edition. Switch to 2026 in Settings. Each answer names the edition and the table. Ask your inspector which edition applies to your job.
Can I use it on a job site with no signal?
Yes. Everything works offline, with no account and no sign-in. Only the purchase, usage statistics and crash reports need a connection.
Where is my data? Can I back it up?
Your saved racks and layouts and your custom benders are on your phone only. They are included in a backup of your whole phone, for example in iCloud. We keep no copy. See the privacy policy.
I think a number is wrong.
Write to us with the bender, conduit size, the bend and the numbers you entered, and what you expected. A screenshot helps. We check every report against the maker's guide or the code table.
Which languages does it support?
English and Spanish. The app follows your phone's language, and you can change it in Settings.
